Tips

Fill detected AcroForm fields, then choose editable or flattened output

This tool reads embedded PDF form fields and shows them in a simple panel. It works best with PDFs that contain AcroForm text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, or select fields.

When fields appear

Fill the detected fields, use the preview to confirm placement, then download the updated PDF. Keep the output editable when the recipient should revise the form later.

When to flatten

Flatten before saving when the completed values should be fixed into the page for sharing or archiving. Flattened output is usually easier to view consistently, but it may no longer behave as an editable form.

If no fields are detected

Some PDFs look like forms but are actually scans or flat page artwork. If no editable fields appear, use the PDF annotator for visible notes or the PDF sign tool for stamps and signatures.

FAQ

What does flattening change?

Flattening draws the current field values into the page content so most viewers treat them as fixed text or marks. That improves sharing compatibility, but the exported PDF usually stops being editable as a form.

Will this edit every field type?

The tool handles common AcroForm text, checkbox, radio, and select fields. Other field types may stay unchanged if the PDF viewer or source file uses unsupported widgets.

Does this page upload my file?

No. This tool processes your PDF in your browser. Files are not uploaded to a server while you use the tool.

What if the PDF shows no fields?

Some PDFs are flat scans or visual forms without AcroForm fields. In that case the page can preview the document, but it cannot list editable controls because none are embedded.
