Know what the draw means
Seeded placement assigns the necessary empty first-round slots to higher-ranked entries, so they advance automatically, and separates the leading seeds. Random placement shuffles all entries before using the same bracket structure. This tool is not a certified draw service or a sport-specific tournament system.
Change results without leaving an inconsistent bracket
Changing or clearing a winner clears recorded results on that match’s path to the final, after confirmation when needed. Results on other branches remain. Updating only the tournament title preserves the draw and results.
Print at a readable size
The bracket uses one landscape page for up to 16 entries. A 17–32-entry bracket uses an upper-half page, a lower-half page, and a final page. Shortened labels are backed by an additional full roster. Choose A4 or Letter and check the browser print settings.
FAQ
Which tournament formats are supported?
Single elimination for 2–32 entries. There are no scores, round-robin groups, double elimination, third-place matches, or scheduling features.
Why does someone advance without a match?
A bracket uses 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 slots. An unused first-round slot leaves one entry without an opponent, so that entry advances automatically. For example, 6 entries use an 8-slot bracket, so 2 entries advance automatically. An opponent that is still unknown in a later round is not an empty first-round slot; that match must wait.
What happens when two participants have the same name?
They remain separate entries, each with a participant number. The app does not merge names or treat the word BYE as an empty slot.
Can I correct a winner or change the title?
Yes. A winner correction clears dependent later results, with confirmation if any are recorded. Updating only the title keeps the draw and results.
Are my entries automatically saved or uploaded?
No. The app processes entries in this tab. Save a JSON file before leaving to keep your work. Files and printouts contain names and results; keep or share them carefully.
Can the saved file prove that the draw was fair?
No. It is an editable snapshot for resuming work, not a signed audit record. Opening a valid file restores its existing draw rather than drawing again.
