Distribution sampler

Generate random samples from common distributions, visualize histograms, and download data.

Runs locally in your browser. Samples are not sent to any server. Share URLs include settings only.

How to use (3 steps)

  1. Choose a distribution and set parameters.
  2. Generate samples and inspect the histogram + stats.
  3. Copy a settings URL or download CSV/JSON.

FAQ

Is this secure?
Secure mode uses browser CSPRNG. Seeded mode is for reproducibility, not secrecy.
Can I share my samples?
Share URLs include settings only. Use CSV/JSON download to share data.
Why does Poisson/Binomial look different?
They are discrete distributions, so the histogram is drawn as bars at integer outcomes.
What is the theoretical curve?
It plots the selected PDF/PMF (scaled to expected counts) over the histogram for comparison.
